The 'dredger' visits Eastbourne
With all the terrible storms from October last year to the early part of this year, Eastbourne was quite lucky and managed to avoid the worst of it. As we are so close to the sea, we had a few sleepless nights wondering if it was our turn to get out the sandbags and buckets, but luckily the sea defences held!
This photo shows a 'dredger' ship putting back the pebbles the storms took away and building up the defences once again.
To see such a large vessel so close to the shore is an amazing sight!
